For the full story of how this little gem came into being, see here. The short version: a snazzy Gent's (or, indeed, Lady's) scarf that owes a lot to mitred squares and Kay's obsession with them.
Tension - 16 stitches and 32 rows to 10cm (4") over garter stitch, but you know this is a scarf not a fitted sweater so if your tension's not exact or you use a different yarn then your scarf will just be a slightly different size.
Finished size: approximately 24cm (9¼") wide and 120cm (47¼") long.
9 balls total (87m / 95 yds per ball) of Rowan Felted Tweed Aran (50% Merino Wool, 25% Alpaca and 25% Viscose), 2 balls each in Burnt (722), Ivy (727) and Cassis (723), 1 ball each of Dusty (728), Soot (729) and Heather (724).
If you want to use up oddments then the approximate total meterage (yardage) is 522m (568 yds), comprised of 115m (125 yds) Burnt, 105m (114 yds)of both Cassis and Ivy, 87m (95 yds) Heather and 55m (60 yds) of both Dusty and Soot.
